As CEO of ALNO Pakistan, Sowaba Shehzad has been recognized for her outstanding achievements and powerful leadership initiatives. The Shaheed Tahira Qazi Award is named after a woman who was full of courage, a woman who taught hundreds of children as a school teacher and as the principal of Army Public School in Peshwar. Tahira Qazi was martyred in the Peshawar school attack on December 16, 2014. In order to honor her strength, her courage, and her memory, the Shaheed Tahira Qazi Award is now presented to influential and powerful women in leadership positions around Pakistan.
