In October 2017, the German Embassy of Islamabad, Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus, and ALNO German Living Concepts invited friends, family, and partners to come out and celebrate Oktoberfest, German-style, at the Holztek Farmhouse in Lahore, Pakistan.
The goal of these annual Oktoberfest festivities is to recreate a German-feeling and bring those who are working in Pakistan, but come from Germany, a little piece of home. Year after year the hosts of the Pakistan Oktoberfest import classic Bavarian musicians to come and perform, and serve up typical German favorites like pretzels, potato salad, späztle, and roasted chicken.
